About The One Hydrating Elixir

Is The One Hydrating Elixir suitable for oily or combination skin?

Yes. It is a lightweight moisturiser that absorbs quickly and leaves no film or shine, so it suits oily and combination skin as well as dry. It seals hydration in without feeling heavy, and sits well under makeup.

Why press it into damp skin?

Because a moisturiser seals, it does not supply. Applied to damp skin it locks that water in. Applied to dry skin it has nothing to hold, which is why skin can still feel dry after moisturising. Use it straight after the toner.

What are the full ingredients?

Aloe vera leaf juice, glycerin, jojoba seed oil, avocado oil, rosehip seed oil, Kakadu Plum, green tea leaf extract, Davidson Plum, sodium hyaluronate and a gentle preservative system. The complete INCI list is printed on the bottle and on this page.

Can I use it with vitamin C, retinol or acids?

Yes. It contains no active exfoliants or retinoids, so it layers over most serums and treatments. Apply your treatment product first, then press the Hydrating Elixir in as the final step to seal.

How long does a 100 mL bottle last?

Used twice a day at one to two pumps, a 100 mL bottle lasts most people around two to three months, which is why The Ritual pairs it with the 150 mL toner.
